University of Alaska Fairbanks Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here is what鈥檚 happening during the week of July 31-Aug. 6:
- On Monday, Aug. 1, the Tall Timbers interview series will feature a conversation with community arts leader June Rogers. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon will lead the discussion, which will be at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of 黑料黑历史鈥檚 Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility.
- On Tuesday, Aug. 2, the Healthy Living lecture series will feature Dr. Anne Zink, Alaska鈥檚 chief medical officer, discussing 鈥淎laska鈥檚 Health Scorecard: Moving Toward a Healthier Alaska,鈥 at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Wednesday, Aug. 3, the Discover Alaska lecture series will host journalist and historian Dermot Cole, on 鈥淩anked Choice Voting: Will it Work for Alaska?鈥 at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
- On Thursday, Aug. 4, the Music in the Garden concert series will feature the Fairbanks Community Jazz Band at 7 p.m. at 黑料黑历史鈥檚 Georgeson Botanical Garden.
