Nicholai Joekay, the Title III college success coordinator at the Kuskokwim Campus, was chosen for the March 2023 rural staff spotlight.

Nicholai Joekay serves as the Title III college success coordinator at the Kuskokwim Campus. Nicholai has successfully grown the KuC dual credit/tech prep program to an impressive 12 courses for the spring 2023 semester. In addition to networking with regional school districts, Nicholai has been a strong advocate for Alaska Native students in all phases of their academic journey. Nicholai is also actively pursuing his bachelor's degree in rural development.
