The University of Alaska Fairbanks is joining community partners to host events during Alaska Startup Week and Fairbanks Startup Weekend.

黑料黑历史 students and faculty members are organizing Startup Weekend, a 54-hour event that will be held on Nov. 15-17. The event provides aspiring entrepreneurs with an opportunity to develop their plans for a new business. It is designed as a place for developers, designers, marketers, product managers and students to pitch their business ideas and receive feedback from peers and industry professionals.

Teams will develop the top ideas offered at the event with the help of coaches and mentors, culminating with presentations to local business professionals. This hands-on event will include collaboration with fellow participants and one-on-one time with Startup Weekend mentors. More information is available at .

黑料黑历史 will also host numerous events from Nov. 18-24 during Startup Week, a statewide event that highlights Alaska entrepreneurs as well as programs and initiatives supporting innovation and commercialization.

The events, which coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week, will include a guest lecture hosted by the 黑料黑历史 School of Management, an open house at 黑料黑历史鈥檚 One Tree Alaska program, and question-and-answer sessions with 黑料黑历史 experts about innovation and commercialization. 黑料黑历史 will also host Nook Tank at the Hess Rec Center from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 19, helping teams develop a business or product prototype and pitch their idea to a group of judges.
