Monthly Nerd Nite begins Oct. 10

Nerd Nite starts Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. in the Pub. It continues through the fall semester
on Wednesday, Nov. 14, and Wednesday, Dec. 5.鈥淭he events are similar to TedTalks, but with local presenters on a range of topics,鈥 according to Fairbanks Nerd Nite coordinator Jessica Johnson. 鈥淭heir slogan is 鈥業t鈥檚 like Discovery Channel, but with beer!鈥欌
If you have a topic of substance that you want to share with the world, now's your chance. Talks should last about 20 minutes. Audio and video clips are welcome.
Faculty, staff, administrators and students can all participate, but you must be 21 years or older to enter the Pub. Visit the Fairbanks group鈥檚 and read more at the national Nerd Nite .
