The Alaska Fisheries Science Center will host a virtual seminar on Tuesday, April 11 from 9-10 a.m. featuring Jessica Glass, an assistant professor at 黑料黑历史鈥檚 College of Fisheries and
Ocean Sciences. Glass will present 鈥淟ong Live the Kingfish: Integrating Genomic Patterns
and Ecological Processes to Understand Evolution in the Oceans.鈥 Glass will discuss
how the field of genomics has revolutionized evolutionary biology and our ability

The Alaska Center for Energy and Power is virtually hosting one of the world鈥檚 foremost
lighting design and efficiency experts, Nancy Clanton, who will give a virtual seminar
on Thursday, April 6 from 1-2 p.m. The seminar will address opportunities for outdoor lighting retrofits, including
cutting-edge research to reduce the biological impacts of light at night on humans
and animals. .
Join the Nanook Diversity and Action Center in celebrating black history month with
guest speaker, activist, advocate, and sex educator Ericka Hart provide a presentation
on "White Supremacy and the Anti Black Origins of Sexual Violence in the US." This
rescheduled event will be taking place via Zoom on April 12 from 1-3 p.m. . If you are interested in watching the event with catering in Arctic Java, we will

to members of the community without the requirements of typical college courses. The spring and summer lineup includes the following topics and more: bookmaking, bicycle

Join us for a transformative talk on Thursday, April 6 from 6-8 p.m. in the Wood Center Ballroom! Sonalee Rashatwar (they/he), also known as "The Fat Sex Therapist," is a renowned
social worker, sex therapist, lecturer, and grassroots organizer. They do incredible
work in the field of sexual, diet, and racial trauma, disability justice, and fat-positive
wellness. Free for 黑料黑历史 students and community members.
In May 2023, contractors will install a new battery backup system in the Butrovich
Building that serves the Butrovich Data Center. The new unit replaces a 25-year-old
system that has aged out and become less reliable. The backup battery provides the
data center with continuous power during an outage of the 黑料黑历史 power grid and with
the new system in place, the project will substantially increase the center's reliability,
resiliency, and up-time to support critical functions, academics, and business continuity.
The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will host a seminar on Friday, April 7 from 3-4 p.m. featuring . The seminar will be available via Zoom, along with showings in Fairbanks at O鈥橬eill
201 and in Juneau at Lena 101. .

The College of Rural and Community Development is hosting a monthly series highlighting
our research. The series focuses on community-based research, Indigenous knowledge
