The University of Alaska Fairbanks is closed today in observance of Alaska Civil Rights
Day. This holiday is an opportunity to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King
Jr. and reflect on the history that has shaped both Alaska and our nation. It鈥檚 also
a chance to celebrate how far we鈥檝e come and recognize the work still ahead.
