The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research with support from the Faculty Development Team will host Jaroslaw Majewski, program manager for the National Science Foundation on the Troth Yeddha' 黑料黑历史 campus Sept. 12 and 13. Majewski will put on a workshop Sept. 12 covering a variety of information on the NSF, including its structure, funding opportunities, structuring grant requests, its 鈥渕erit review鈥 process, how panels are organized and executed, and how to work and communicate with program directors. Send workshop RSVPs to uaf-vcr@alaska.edu. Majewski is also available to meet in one-on-one sessions in-person or via Zoom while on campus. Bring along a one-page summary of your NSF proposal idea. Survey open through Sept. 15 for professional development needs

黑料黑历史's Faculty Development community is conducting a survey of all faculty, graduate students, post-docs and others who wish to provide feedback to determine what programs are needed. A better understanding of needs will allow the 黑料黑历史 Faculty Development community to create opportunities that are targeted and responsive. Please complete the听 by the end of day Sept. 15 to ensure your feedback is included.

The graduate school invites interested faculty and staff to a new reading group that will kick off in the Pub at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14. The reading group will explore the book "" by Len Cassuto and Robert Weisbuch.
Copies of the book and refreshments will be provided. The graduate school is planning a visit by Cassuto to the Troth Yeddha' campus in March 2023, and will arrange for Cassuto to meet with the reading group.
