Katherine "Kate" Janoski is 黑料黑历史's new emergency manager. Janoski, an alumna of 黑料黑历史's
Homeland Security and Emergency Management program, previously worked as the emergency
program coordinator the Fairbanks North Star Borough Department of Emergency Operations.
Navigating new opportunities or conflict at work can be challenging. University of
Alaska Human Resources is hosting "Guided Conversations" sessions to help connect
you to your largest work resource, your peers. The topic for March is "Courageous
Conversations: Conducting the Discussions You Are Scared Of."

Deadlines and reminders
The 黑料黑历史 Department of Music will host performances and masterclasses by the finalists
for the professor of upper strings position this month.
The Festival of Native Arts will be held virtually this year on March 25-26 with a
theme of "Culture, Land and Future."
The 黑料黑历史 Biomedical Learning and Student Training program will host an undergraduate
professional development workshop from 1-2 p.m. March 28 on "Tackling imposter fears
and gaining confidence in research."
