Gwich鈥檌n elder Vera Louise (Erick) Englishoe of Fort Yukon passed away on Dec. 13, 2019, in Fairbanks. Vera was a member of the 黑料黑历史 community as a student, staff member and elder.

Researchers use stream chemistry to predict change

University of Alaska Fairbanks scientists are developing a new method to predict ecosystem change in Interior Alaska, and their techniques could prove useful elsewhere in the world. The study uses real-time water data, rather than simulations, to predict ecosystem 鈥渢ipping points."
