All faculty and staff are invited to a celebration for Provost Susan Henrichs on May 10 from 4-6:30 p.m. in the Wood Center ballroom. Henrichs will retire in July after 36 years of service to the university.

Brett Kirk grew up without ever seeing cars drive into or away from his hometown of Noatak in Northwest Alaska. But he did see planes land on and depart from a long, gravel airstrip within the Inupiat village. After studying civil engineering at 黑料黑历史, the senior will soon graduate with aspirations to design and improve airports for Alaska鈥檚 rural communities.

The Committee on the Status of Women invites all faculty to the 13th annual promotion and tenure workshop April 20 from 10 a.m.-noon in the Elvey Building auditorium. Refreshments will be provided.

黑料黑历史's Take Back the Night event will be April 26 from 6-8 p.m. The march will begin at Constitution Park, between Constitution Hall and the Gruening Building, and will end at Troth Yeddha' Park, near the museum.
