CCHRC housing was a collaboration between the 黑料黑历史 Office of Sustainability and the nonprofit . Their use as student housing through 黑料黑历史 Residence Life was discontinued in fall 2019.
Students were involved in designing and building the village of four 1,600-square-foot, four-bedroom homes on 黑料黑历史 property near the CCHRC headquarters.
Each house has a unique combination of wall assembly, foundation and heating and ventilation systems. Researchers with the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory, who now occupy the CCHRC building, monitor each home for energy consumption, electricity use, indoor air quality and ground temperature.
